Important Notes

  • Please ensure your submission is original and not generated by AI
  • Due to the volume of submissions, responses may take up to 4 weeks

  • We do not accept postal submissions

We appreciate the time and effort it takes to submit your work and thank you for considering Pepperfish Publishing. We look forward to reading your work.

What Should the Synopsis Include?

The synopsis you submit should clearly demonstrate the following:

  • The concept of the book
  • The target audience
  • What makes the book appealing
  • The book’s unique selling points (how does it differ from existing or competing titles?)
  • A proposed number of illustrations, if applicable, including their intended sources

A strong synopsis helps us understand not only what your book is about, but why it deserves a place in the current market.

What Should I Include in My Biographical Note?

This section is your opportunity to tell us a little about yourself as an author. Please include any information that supports your ability to write and promote this book, such as:

For Non-Fiction

  • Why you are qualified to write this book, including details of any previous publications
  • Involvement in societies, organisations, events, or communities relevant to your subject
  • Any experience in public speaking, such as radio interviews, podcasts, lectures, or talks
  • Any media links or contacts (newspapers, magazines, online platforms, etc.) that could support marketing and promotion

For Fiction

  • Any experience in public speaking or appearances, such as readings, podcasts, radio interviews, panels, or events
  • Any media presence or online platforms (websites, newsletters, blogs, or social media) that could support the promotion of your book

This information helps us assess both the book and its potential audience reach.

We aim to respond to all submissions within 4 weeks. If you have not heard from us after this time, please assume we are not proceeding with your submission on this occasion, and we wish you every success in finding a publisher.

What Happens Next
